A delegation of Baltic Defence College Joint Command and General Staff Course visited EUNAVFOR MED IRINI OHQ
Yesterday, a delegation of Baltic Defence College Joint Command and general Staff Course visited EUNAVFOR MED IRINI Operation Headquarters in Rome and met with IRINI’s Operation Commander, Rear Admiral Stefano Turchetto, and IRINI’s Chief of Staff, Commodore Charitos Prokopios.
The delegation appreciated IRINI’s commitment to support the implementation of the United Nations arms embargo in Libya, the prevention of the illegal export of crude oil and the disruption of the business model of human smuggling.
During the event, the Baltic delegation visited the Joint Operation Centre (JOC), the operational heart of the Headquarters, from where all the activities are controlled.
