Change of the Chief of Staff at EUNAVFOR MED IRINI Operational Headquarters.
Yesterday, 31st March 2025 after six months as Chief of Staff of Operation IRINI, Brigadier General Emanuele DI FRANCESCO (Italian Air Force) handed over his post to Commodore Spyridon POLLATOS (Hellenic Navy), who will hold this position for the next six months.
The ceremony of hand-over was presided by the EUNAVFOR MED IRINI Operation Commander, Rear Admiral Valentino RINALDI, who warmly thanked Brigadier General DI FRANCESCO and his staff for their excellent work and brilliant achievements in coordinating the various branches of the Operational Headquarters in the joint and combined context of the Operation.
At the same time, Rear Admiral RINALDI wished Commodore POLLATOS the best of successes in his new assignment, certain that his professionalism and spirit of service will be useful tools in accomplishing the tasks assigned to Operation IRINI.
